"Line too long"이라는 에러 메시지를 도움말에서는 이렇게 설명하고 있습니다...

Line too long (more than 255 characters)

Description

This error message is given when the length of a line in the source file
exceeds 255 characters.  Usually, you can divide the long line into two
shorter lines.  If you need a really long string constant, you can break
it into several pieces on consecutive lines that you concatenate with the
'+' operator.

즉...한 줄에 255자 이상의 글자를 입력한 라인이 있다는 이야기입니다...
그런데...제가 델파이 3로 확인해 본 결과로는...
255자 이상의 라인이라고 하더라도 에러를 발생시키지 않습니다...
다만 MessageBox 등에 들어가는 문자열의 길이가 255를 넘지 못하더군요...
지금 사용하시는 델파이 버전과 삭제하신 컴포넌트를 알려주세요...
제가 해보고 다시 답변을 드리지요...
